Description:

Cogstone Resource Management Inc. is seeking a replacement for a retiring full time staff member. Choice of office locations in Orange or San Diego.

Job Description:
Manage projects with historic resources. Conduct and/or direct historical research in local, state, and regional libraries and archives. Conduct and/or direct historic resources surveys and assessments, including site inspections, research, photography, and evaluation for the National Register of Historic Places and California Register of Historical Resources. Direct preparation of National Register registration forms, DPR forms, historic context statements, historic property inventory forms (including statements of significance and architectural descriptions) and similar tasks.

Qualifications:
• Master's degree in History, Architectural History, or related field Two years of experience is preferred
• 7+ years of experience in architectural history, with demonstrable experience in relevant skills
• Must meet Caltrans standards as a principal architectural historian
• Dual qualifications as a historic archaeologist a plus but not required
• Knowledge of cultural resource management practices, including laws and regulations
• Knowledge of the history and architectural history of the Western U.S.

Compensation:
Competitive pay rate is commensurate with education and experience. Full-time employees receive health, dental, vision, and 401k benefit plan with company match, paid holidays, and paid vacation.
