Archaeologist – Project Manager
Brockington and Associates is seeking an Archaeologist based in our Atlanta, GA office for archaeological project work throughout the US.
Candidates should hold a minimum of MA/MHP/MS in archaeology, anthropology, historic preservation, history, or related field. We prefer at least 3 years of field and technical writing experience.
Applicants should have the ability to:
• Conduct archaeological survey, testing, and data recovery investigations;
• Effectively discuss projects with clients and agencies;
• Prepare budgets and proposals; and
• Write technical reports and publications.
An applied knowledge of Section 106 of the NHPA and a working familiarity of other environmental statutes and regulations are required. Travel, physical labor, and time spent in outdoor conditions are requirements of this job.
We are particularly interested in candidates with cross-training in architectural history and/or interest in both archaeology and architectural history. You must be able to work as a member of a diverse team, manage projects, and complete other delegated project tasks. You must possess strong communication skills, be able to work closely with clients and government agencies, and be able to supervise the work of others.
