Three Field Techs

The Monticello Department of Archaeology seeks three qualified Archaeological Field Technicians for an eight-month appointment beginning April 4th. Benefits are included. Working five days a week, responsibilities include deciphering, excavating, and recording stratified deposits. Prior training in an archaeological field school, additional practical experience with area excavation, and basic knowledge of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century artifacts are required. Work will include STP survey and stratigraphic excavations. Experience in interacting with the public is encouraged. This position will also help with Monticello\'s six-week field school. Position is open until filled. This appointment is renewable contingent on funding.
