Far Western Anthropological Research Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time Principal Investigator/Project Manager with experience in historical archaeology. The successful applicant will manage a wide range of projects and play a key role in collaborative scholarship. Far Western is one of the largest cultural resource management firms in the western United States and has a proven track record of doing innovative research within a cultural resource management context.

Responsibilities include:
- Project management
- Business development
- Principal Investigator on projects throughout California and the Great Basin
- Supervise and mentor mid-level and junior staff
Requirements include:
- An M.A. or Ph.D. in history, anthropology, or archaeology (or related field)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience doing historic archaeology in a CRM context
- Knowledge of the history, archaeology, and ethnography of California and the Great Basin
- Familiarity with the CRM regulatory environment
- Experience with business development and staff mentorship
- Strong writing and organizational skills
- Project management experience, including ability to positively interact with clients
- Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in complex CRM settings
