July 11, 2022 Submission Deadline for the 2023 Kathleen Kirk Gilmore Dissertation Award

Dear SHA Members, Nominations for the SHA 2023 Kathleen Kirk Gilmore Award will be accepted until July 11, 2022. The award will be presented to a recent graduate whose dissertation is considered by the Awards Panel to be an outstanding contribution to historical archaeology. The awardee will receive $1,000 at the time the award is presented during the January 2023 Conference. To be considered for the 2023 award, nominees must have officially received their Ph.D. degree within three years prior to May 31, 2022 (between June 1, 2019 and May 31, 2022). Nominations must be made by non-student members of the SHA and must consist of one nomination letter that makes a case for the dissertation. Self-nominations will not be accepted.
