Elizabeth Clay to Receive 2024 Kathleen Kirk Gilmore Dissertation Award at the SHA 2024 Conference!

The Society for Historical Archaeology is pleased to announce that Elizabeth C.  Clay has been selected to receive the 2024 Kathleen Kirk Gilmore Dissertation Award for her 2021 University of Pennsylvania dissertation ‒ Slavery and Freedom on the Fringes of France: Historical Archaeology at Habitation La Caroline, French Guiana.   Her award will be presented January 3 at the 2024 Conference on Historical and Underwater Archaeology in Oakland, California.  Congratulations, Elizabeth!
