All Systems Are Go For the SHA 2022 Conference
Dear SHA Members,
The SHA is moving into the final stage of preparations for the 2022 Conference on Historical and Underwater Archaeology in Philadelphia on January 5-8, 2022. There will be no virtual or hybrid
option available for the 2022 Conference.
As you are aware, all conference registrants must show proof of their full vaccination status or proof of a recent (within 72 hours), negative COVID-19 test. There will be no exceptions to this policy. Please bring your vaccination card with you to the conference or have a clear photo of your card on your phone to show registration staff. Once we have verified your vaccination status, you will be given your conference registration packet, and your name badge will be marked that your vaccination status has been verified. All Conference attendees will be required to wear their Conference name badge when in the Conference space. Again, there will be no exceptions to this policy. Security will be available to escort anyone without a name badge out of the conference space.
Face masks are required in Philadelphia at all indoor public spaces. In addition, masks are required to be worn on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation. The Philadelphia Marriott Downtown also requires masks.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone next month and welcoming you to Philadelphia. We are doing everything in our power to ensure that the 2022 Conference will be as safe and enriching as it can be.
