We are seeking students and student teams to compete in the 2018 SHA Student Ethics Bowl.

The fifth annual Student Ethics Bowl will take place at the January 2018 Society for Historical Archaeology (SHA) conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. This fun and challenging event is hosted by the Student Subcommittee to the Academic and Professional Training Committee and offers some fantastic prizes including $750 generously provided by the Register of Professional Archaeologists and free registration for the following conference year. If you know students planning on attending the 2018 conference, we recommend that you encourage them to participate.

Students may sign up as school teams of 3-4 students or as individuals to be assigned to teams. Teams will receive a list of possible "case studies" in the weeks before the conference. During the event, case studies are chosen randomly and teams of terrestrial and underwater archaeology students debate possible solutions to these real-world ethical scenarios. See the attached flier for more details and remember to register ASAP before all of the spots are filled up!

For additional information and to register for this event, please email shastudentethicsbowl@gmail.com.
