SHA 2023 Conference Hotels

Hello Everyone,

The Holiday Inn Lisbon-Continental informed me a few weeks back that they would be remodeling their lobby during the SHA Conference.  While this wasn't happy news, I was assured that it would not substantially impact anyone staying at the hotel.  I was recently informed, however, that, because of the lobby renovation, the hotel will be limiting the number of guest rooms to 80 maximum.  The hotel has now reached that limit.

Anyone contacting the Holiday Inn Lisbon-Continental to book a room for the SHA 2023 Conference will be offered the option of staying at two other Holiday Inn properties in Lisbon.  Unfortunately, neither of the Holiday Inn properties they are suggesting is close to NOVA University; all require a 15-minute public bus ride to get to the University.

There are a number of hotels near the Holiday Inn Lisbon-Continental which offer room rates comparable to the Holiday Inn and are within walking distance of NOVA University.  They are:

I apologize for this turn of events and hope that everyone can find reasonable and convenient accommodations for the SHA 2023 Conference.  I will be contacting the Sales Office at each of the properties identified above to alert them to the SHA 2023 Conference and asking them to be accommodating to our guests.
