Call for Entries 2017 ACUA Photo Competition and People’s Choice Awards

SHA members and conference attendees are invited to participate in the annual Archaeological Photo Festival Competition and People’s Choice Awards.  Images will be displayed at the SHA conference on Historical and Underwater Archaeology and winning entries will be posted to the ACUA web and social media sites. Deadline for entries is December 15. Results will be announced at the annual SHA Business meeting and sent to all entrants by January 31.

Digital uploads for the People’s Choice Award will be open from December 1-15. Voting will take place from December 22 through January 5 on the ACUA website.

If the old adage is true, “a picture is worth a thousand words,” then the images created by archaeologists, historians, avocationals, and volunteers speak volumes about historical and underwater archaeology. Images can capture our imagination, take us to foreign lands, and show us faraway sites. Share your vision with all of us by downloading the information and get your camera clicking! Of course all of our other categories are still eligible and we encourage all members to participate.
