What You’ll Do at Gray & Pape:
As a Senior Principal Investigator – Architectural Historian, you'll lead and manage:
• Historical research and architectural documentation projects.
• National Register evaluations and CRM compliance efforts.
• Client relationships and project execution, ensuring the highest professional standards.
• Team supervision and mentoring, fostering the next generation of CRM leaders.
You’ll also have the chance to work on a variety of diverse projects and contribute to the development of market sectors and clients in our growing company.
What You Bring to Gray & Pape:
• An MA/MS in Architectural History or a related discipline, meeting the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards.
• 10+ years of CRM consulting experience, including 5+ years directing architectural surveys.
• Deep expertise in the National Register of Historic Places and Section 106 compliance.
• Strong skills in fieldwork, photography (film and digital), GIS/GPS mapping, and client management.
• Proven leadership in project management and effective communication.
Preferred:
• Experience with complex project budgets and scopes.
• A strong background in Section 106 consultation and agreement documentation.
Travel: Up to 30%, with occasional extended stays.
