Archeological Interpretation Intern
New Job Posted
The archeological interpretation internship at Fort Pulaski National Monument will provide an opportunity for an interested and motivated individual to develop skills related to the management of archeological resources. The selected individual will work closely with the Park Archeologist to do data recovery excavations at the Worker’s Village site, where the people who built the fort lived and worked. They will gain experience in most stages of the research process: archival research, field work (particularly block excavation), public interpretation, artifact processing, identifying cultural materials, and artifact analysis. The intern will also work collaboratively to draft and release social media posts and complete an interpretive project to be used by Fort staff.
