The School of Culture and Society, Department of Archaeology, invites applications for the position of assistant or associate professor in sustainable heritage management.
If an assistant professor is appointed, the position will be a three-year training position and subject to appropriate funding a subsequent associate professorship in the same subject area will be announced in open competition. If an associate professor is appointed, the position will be permanent and full-time.
The position is available from 1 August 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The position is affiliated with the degree programme in sustainable heritage management, which is a relatively new and novel, interdisciplinary Master’s degree programme anchored in the Department of Archaeology. The degree programme involves collaboration between the Departments of Archaeology, Anthropology, Philosophy and the History of Ideas at the School of Culture and Society, as well as the Department of Scandinavian Studies and Experience Economy at the School of Culture and Communication. We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant professor or associate professor who can coordinate, strengthen and further develop the degree programme and research field, and who can contribute to all of Aarhus University’s core activities (research, teaching, talent development and knowledge exchange).
