Archaeological Field Technician
RK&K is seeking qualified archaeological field technicians for a Phase I archaeological survey project in Montgomery County, Tennessee. Wage rate is $16.00/hr. to $18.00/hr. based on experience. Per diem ($50/day) and lodging will be provided for workdays. Fieldwork is scheduled for August 7–11 and August 16-25.
Education/Experience:
- BA/BS in Archaeology, Anthropology or related field
- Archaeological field school
- Phase I survey experience strongly preferred (shovel testing and pedestrian survey)
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work in the field under adverse conditions
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to document shovel test excavations and record detailed notes
- Ability to work well with others
