The American Experience in Archaeological Perspective
The American Experience in Archaeological Perspective book series explores events, processes, settings, institutions, and geographic regions that played formative roles in the making of the United States of America as a political, social, and cultural entity. These comprehensive overviews underscore the theoretical, methodological, and substantive contributions that archaeology has made to the study of American history and culture. While these studies focus on historical archaeology in the United States, they are also broadly applicable to historical and anthropological inquiries in other parts of the world. To date the series has produced more than two dozen titles and another fifteen are anticipated over the next several years. The purpose of this informational session is to introduce readers to the series, summarize the series’ goals, and discuss the process of publication with prospective authors. The series editors, a contributing author, and the UPF acquisitions editor will host the discussion.
