Call to Action – Oppose Troubling Changes to National Register Regulations

I am writing to call your attention to another issue that potentially will have major impacts  on our profession.   The National Park Service has put out a call to comment on proposed regulations that would significantly limit National Register listings and determinations of eligibility.  This is a change that could dramatically limit community options for preserving historic properties and landscapes.    I strongly encourage you to comment on these proposed regulations.  Deadline for submitting comments is April 30, 2019.   Below is a link to a call to action by the Coalition for American Heritage.  The link provides some background on this issue, a template for comments (if you are pressed for time!) and a link for where to send comments.
