Call to Action – NEPA Changes
Attached is a draft of the letter that SHA will submit to the CEQ that you may use as a template, or you may find another template at https://heritagecoalition.org/call-to-action-2/
We strongly recommend that you submit your comments/letters directly to the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ). For the quickest way to send in your comments/letters, go to https://www.regulations.gov.
Enter “CEQ-2019-0003” in the Search box, and then follow the instructions for uploading and submitting your comments/letters using the “Comment Now” box to the right of the webpage.
CEQ has already received 200,000 comments/letters in favor of the proposed regulation changes! So we need as many comments/letters as possible in opposition to the proposed changes!
You can also look at the full Federal Register information on the proposed rule at: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2020/01/10/2019-28106/update-to-the-regulations-implementing-the-procedural-provisions-of-the-national-environmental.
Also, if you are looking for more information about the proposed regulation changes, go to the Coalition’s webinar at: https://heritagecoalition.org/call-to-action-2/
If you have any questions or problems sending your comments/letters to CEQ, contact Terry Klein at tklein@srifoundation.org, or Marion Werkheiser at marion@culturalheritagepartners.com.
Thanks for responding to this critical call for action!
