We are currently seeking student teams to compete in the 2019 SHA Student Ethics Bowl and would appreciate it if you could you distribute the attached flier to your students.

The sixth annual Student Ethics Bowl will take place at the January 2019 Society for Historical Archaeology (SHA) conference in St. Charles, Missouri.  This fun and challenging event is hosted by the Student Subcommittee of the Academic and Professional Training Committee and offers some fantastic prizes including cash generously provided by the Register of Professional Archaeologists.  If you know students planning on attending the 2019 conference, we recommend that you encourage them to participate.

Students may sign up as school teams of 3-4 students or as individuals to be assigned to teams.  Teams will receive a list of possible "case studies" two weeks before the conference.  During the event, case studies are chosen randomly and teams of terrestrial and underwater archaeology students debate possible solutions to these real-world ethical scenarios.  See the attached flier for more details!

For additional information and to register for this event, please email shastudentethicsbowl@gmail.com.
