Your role will be to lead, direct, and manage projects with significant research needs or multiple phases; develop research designs, field methods, and analysis; mentor staff, and participate in office business development. You should be able to work full time and have the ability to travel.

Oversee all aspects of field research, data collection, inventory, analysis, and final report production ensuring they are conducted in accordance with the QA/QC plan. Additional project management duties as needed: manage budgets, prepare proposals, interact with clients, and manage staff. Other duties as needed: author large technical reports, research designs, treatment plans and other technical documents. Maintain good working relationships with state and federal agency contacts and clients.
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Archaeology or Anthropology required; PhD preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory fieldwork and experience required
- Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience required
- Must demonstrate completion, at a PI level, of testing or data recovery excavation projects involving primarily archaeological investigations and preparation of final reports consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation. Projects shall have been performed under the jurisdiction of the National Historic Preservation Act
- Emphasis on Pacific Northwest or Alaska archaeology and a current technical specialization (i.e. lithic analysis, historical archaeology, zooarchaeology, etc.) preferred
- Experience with NEPA, Washington SEPA, and Section 106 preferred
- Listed as a Registered Professional Archaeologist (or qualified for RPA status)
- Past peer-reviewed publication record and conference presentation experience preferred
- Must have ability to be listed on various federal and state cultural resource permits in other states desired
